The Lucas Spiral

The Lucas Spiral Collection is a unique jewellery line that draws its inspiration from the beauty and mystery of the mathematical sequence known as the Lucas Spiral. Closely related to the Fibonacci Spiral, it celebrates the balance and harmony found in the natural world, evident in patterns of certain seeds, leaves, petals, flowers, the spirals of some shells, and even within the vastness of galaxies. These spiralling patterns appear consistently across nature, a testament to her incredible strength.
Each piece in the collection is designed to be a wearable work of art that is filled with meaning and reflects the elegance of the Lucas Spiral. Carefully crafted in gold and silver, the jewellery captures the spiral's graceful pattern. We hope these pieces inspire a deep appreciation for the intricate beauty surrounding us and connect the wearer to the amazing world of Mother Nature.

Forged and hammered

Forging is an ancient metalsmithing technique, using a highly polished forging hammer and an anvil. Forging creates graceful organic jewellery with thick to thin sections, I used a repousse hammer to add hammer marks creating a contrast of smooth and shiny with textured hammered pieces.

Sacred Geometry

The pyramid, cube and sphere are ancient symbols, known in Sacred Geometry as the three keys to Heaven. Pyramid symbolises the spirit and the element of fire, it is the first symbol of creation and our connection with God. Cube symbolises the soul and the elements of air and water, it is the second symbol and represents our home – the core of humanity. Sphere is the last symbol and the element of earth and grounding the physical body. It also symbolises the end of a cycle, or a new beginning.

My inspiration for this range stems from the saying ‘You can’t fit a square peg in a round hole’. Perhaps everyone can relate to this feeling of not fitting in at some point in their life. I enjoy working with geometric shapes and seeing how they fit together in various ways. This range is dynamic and adjustable to suit different needs.

Donie and the Dancing Master

A few years ago, while I was researching my family tree, I came across these letters written by my late father, Donal Clarke. These letters are available online at www.Duchas.ie. During my search for inspirations for my jewellery designs, The Dancing Master, kept appearing in my sketches. He was quite a challenge to make. Following this design, I decided to make an Irish Dancing Cailin to accompany him. “The Dancing Baby” is the latest addition, completing the Collection.
